17. Add a water bill to a schedule - Adding payment 

How to add extra amount of payment? 

17.1 Go to your overall detail page of the property rent. This is where you can saw all previous i initial scheduled payments set-up. A payment schedule that is going to be forward is displayed below that. 

17.2 Click on the ‘Add payment’ button on the details page of the rent

17.3 You can add a payment on how much the amount is and what’s the description for the additional payment. 

17.4 For situational example:

          1.) A water bill is needed to be add into the payment.

          2.) You will need to input the description and invoice number first 

          3.) Add the date that you’d like that debit account  to be taken. 

17.5 Click on the ‘Add payment’ button on the details page of the rent. 

17.6 After clicking on the add payment it will be displayed on the payment schedule.

 

17.7 The simpleRent will send out confirmation or a payment receipt to the tenant  to let him/her know when you add that the transaction has gone through. 

17.8 Does the agency see the full card details when a tenant uses a card to pay?

No, the agency can not since part of the PCR compliance is that we reduce some of the numbers on the card so that it keeps the agency safe and fully compliant with the payment card industry standard.

17.9 Can we add more than 2 tenants per property? 

Agents prefer not to have that feature due to reasons being too hard to manage the payments

17.10 The direct debit option has yet to be set-up?

That is only for the bond and initial payment at the moment, we're using real time credit card transactions due to the guarantee of that payment being paid through 

Once we add direct debit  to the initial 2 weeks and the bond, you’ve then got that delay of  clearing and so rules of advance will set up to help avoid accidents on taking direct debit 

If the payment is 2 weeks in advance, then direct debit is given as an option to the tenant
